CILG - The future of residential construction

CILG is an innovative investment programme that focuses on strategic partnerships, industrial construction and the highest ESG standards. The aim is to provide affordable living space in Germany's swarm cities.

The middle class represents the largest demand and purchasing power group in the market. The CILG program serves this target group alongside the mandatory price-regulated rental housing construction – designed with high urban planning and ESG qualities.

The launch of the CILG programme was accompanied by a high-profile kick-off event with leading market participants from politics and business. Together, the course was set for a forward-looking residential construction strategy - a strong signal for cooperation and innovation.

Central Living Düsseldorf

On the long-unused area at Düsseldorf Central Station – formerly known under the project name "Grand Central" – the Central Living Düsseldorf project marks the beginning of a new chapter in neighborhood development. Catella has obtained the exclusive acquisition rights and is responsible for the overall development of the project. A diverse, mixed-use neighborhood with around 1,400 residential units, two daycare centers, a local supply unit, and an innovative mobility and greening concept is being created.

Groundbreaking for the
Düssel-Terrassen

On July 4th, Catella Project Management officially started the construction of the second largest Climate Quarter.NRW. In the first phase, 54 price-controlled apartments with 4,254 m² of rental space will be created. An additional 94 apartments and 3 commercial units have already been approved. Construction is set to begin in August, and the completion of the approximately 800-apartment quarter is planned for mid-2027. Around 100 guests, including neighbors, project partners, and representatives from politics and administration, attended the ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony on Schlüterstraße.

Building application for new project in Berlin

In Berlin-Neukölln, on Silbersteinstraße, we are developing an innovative urban district with 92 rental apartments, including 24 publicly funded units, as well as a spacious commercial area that will house a modern local supplier for the district. After intensive planning months, numerous consultations, and close collaboration with great partners, we have now officially submitted the building application – an important milestone on the path to realization. Now we keep our fingers crossed for a quick approval!
